Trainee Fire Door Inspector

Total Protection (Fire and Sealing Solutions) Ltd. – Chelmsford, Essex.

Duties Involved: Fire Door Condition Inspections and Fire Door Measuring and Manufacturing Surveys

Responsibilities to include:

• Completing invasive and visual inspections of fire doors.
• Produce reports on findings, and detail works required to achieve compliance.
• Communicating with clients to arrange appointments.

Person Specification

• 3rd Party certification in the inspection of fire doors and fire stopping through Firas, BM Trada or BRE equivalent.
• Full driving licence and Vehicle.
• Strong communication skills.
• Advantageous to have computer skills. Training will be provided in the use of in-house survey application and spreadsheets.
• Previous fire door installation experience would be an advantage.
• Willing to work across the full Southeast of England, may require some hotel stays

Job Type: Employed Full Time

The ideal candidate will have the skills within:

• Technical knowledge of both fire door suppliers and products.
• Strong computer software capabilities (Excel, Word etc, Boris / One Trace software knowledge is not essential but preferred.)
• The ability to monitor our recording software to assist managers in the day to day running of their jobs.
• Ensure processes and procedures are being adhered to or implemented.
• Experience dealing with customers and providing excellent customer service.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £27,500.00 per year
