About the Role

As HR Advisor, you will act as a trusted partner to managers and employees across the business, providing expert HR guidance across the full employee lifecycle. • Support and coach managers to handle HR issues confidently and in line with company policy and employment legislation.
  • Support the end-to-end recruitment processes for operational and support roles.
  • Maintain and update HR records, ensuring accuracy and GDPR compliance at all times.
  • Assist in the development, review, and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Support the delivery of learning and development initiatives, including inductions and management training.
  • Work closely with payroll to ensure accurate and timely processing of HR changes.
  • Monitor and analyse key HR metrics (e.g. absence, turnover) and provide regular reporting to the HR Manager.
  • Undertake occasional early starts to engage with, and provide support to, our night operation team.
  • Contribute to HR projects and change initiatives as required.

What We’re Looking For

Essential

  • CIPD Level 5 qualified (or working towards), or equivalent HR experience.
  • Proven experience in a generalist HR Advisor or similar HR role.
  • Solid knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
  • Experience managing employee relations cases end-to-end.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust at all levels.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage a varied and busy workload.
  • Comfortable working independently and using own initiative.
  • Flexibility to occasionally work early start shifts to support the night operation.

Desirable

  • Experience working within a wholesale, logistics, food manufacturing, or similarly fast-paced operational environment.
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems and HR reporting.
  • Experience supporting shift-based or 24/7 operations.
