Full job description

We are an 87 bedroom hotel located between Bicester and Banbury looking for a Night Porter / Receptionist to join our excellent Reception team.

Ideal candidate will have flexibility to work both night shifts (11pm - 7am) and afternoon shifts (3pm - 11pm) but candidates will be considered who only can work night shifts (11pm - 7am).

Available contract is up to 5 days per week (40 hours).

Specific responsibilities typically include:

  • Running end of day reports on hotel system
  • Guest Services & Reception - Welcoming late arrivals, checking guests in or out, managing the switchboard, and delivering room service or amenities.
  • Security & Safety: Conducting routine patrols to ensure doors, windows, and fire escapes are secure, and acting as the point of contact during overnight emergencies.
  • Cleaning & Maintenance: Restocking supplies, emptying bins, vacuuming the lobby, and cleaning public areas during quiet hours.
  • Morning Preparation: Collecting breakfast orders from doors, setting up conference spaces, and preparing for the morning staff handover.

Some prior experience is useful but not essential. Training on the hotel software (RoomMaster) will be provided.

Hourly rate dependent on experience.

Accommodation in an en suite bedroom located at our staff accommodation can be provided at £77 per week.
