ACH is a social enterprise with a clear vision, dedicated to empowering refugees and migrants in the UK to lead self-sufficient and ambitious lives. We bring together a diverse team of strategists and researchers, driven by their own lived experiences, to provide tailored integration services.

Why We Do What We Do

Our mission goes beyond individual support; we actively challenge and disrupt the systems that perpetuate inequalities in our society. With a proven track record of delivering effective support services, in 2024, we helped house over 1,400 individuals and provided support to over 500 of our service users, helping them to achieve their personal goals and lead fulfilling lives in their new country.

We are now looking for an Employment & Housing Transitions Lead to join us on a permanent, full-time basis, working 37.5 hours per week.

Our Commitment to You

- Salary of £29,415 per annum
- 25 days’ annual leave, plus bank holidays
- Pension
- Flexible working
- Employee Recognition Programme
- Training and development opportunities
- Employee Assistance Programme
- Social gatherings and staff retreats
- A fully stocked staffroom!

This is an opportunity for a talented and qualified advice and guidance professional with labour market expertise and a background of working with refugees, migrants or asylum seekers to join our vital organisation and make a real impact.

You’ll have the chance to make a genuine difference to those who have travelled so far to live safely in this country, and, right now, this is more important than ever.

Whilst you drive change for the refugee community, we will ensure that you are supported with a comprehensive range of benefits and perks that will enable you inside and outside work. What’s more, you’ll discover an empathetic environment filled with like-minded people, passion and drive to deliver change.

So, if you are ready to take your career to the next level and provide opportunities for those who ned them the most, we want to hear from you.

The Role

As the Employment & Housing Transitions Lead, you will support our tenants and the wider refugee community in Coventry with meaningful, accurate careers advice.

With the aim of getting tenants and other individuals into sustainable employment, training, education and/or volunteering situations, you will provide guidance, assess readiness, and enable the people you work with to move from supported to independent living.

A key part of your role will be to work as part of a new initiative, the Transition Housing Project, to get refugees hired, retained and progressed within the workplace. You will work with employers, housing providers and local training providers, building great relationships and supporting positive outcomes for refugees and migrants.

Additionally, managing a caseload of individuals, you will:

- Design and deliver employability workshops and sessions
- Engage with support organisations and employers to speak at workshops/events
- Attend job fairs, stakeholder events, and ACH-led events
- Act as the point of contact for employers regarding the Transition Housing and Coventry Projects
- Visit, monitor, and oversee individuals whilst in employment
- Maintain records on our CRM system

About You

To be considered as the Employment & Housing Transitions Lead, you will need:

- Experience offering information, advice, guidance, coaching, mentoring or advisory support
- Experience working with refugees, migrants or asylum seekers
- Knowledge of IAG guidelines and frameworks
- An understanding of the local labour market
- A Level 4 Information Advice and Guidance qualification, or willingness to work towards it

The closing date for this role is 15th December 2025.

Other organisations may call this role Employment Project Officer, Refugee Employability Worker, Refugee Support Worker, Resettlement Officer, Integration Support Advisor, or Employment & Skills Coach.
