Job Overview

The HR Administration & Office Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the business by overseeing all aspects of HR administration and office management. This is a varied, hands-on position, ideal for someone who enjoys balancing people-focused responsibilities with operational support.

Working closely with the Managing Director and leadership team, you will take ownership of the full employee lifecycle, ensuring HR processes are efficient, compliant and employee-focused. You will coordinate recruitment and onboarding, support payroll administration, maintain HR records, and create a well-organised, professional office environment.

As the business's primary HR contact, you will provide practical advice and administrative support to managers and employees while helping to foster a positive workplace culture.

Working closely with the Managing Director and leadership team, you will take ownership of the full employee lifecycle, ensuring HR processes are efficient, compliant and employee-focused. You will coordinate recruitment and onboarding, support payroll administration, maintain HR records, and create a well-organised, professional office environment.

As the business's primary HR contact, you will provide practical advice and administrative support to managers and employees while helping to foster a positive workplace culture.

Experience

We're looking for an organised, proactive, and approachable HR professional with previous experience in HR Administration, HR Coordination, Office Management, or a similar role, ideally within a small or medium-sized business.

You'll have a sound understanding of HR administration and employment practices, together with excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. You'll be confident working independently, using your initiative to solve problems and continually improve processes.

You will be an excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills, capable of building positive relationships with colleagues at all levels. A high level of professionalism, discretion, and the ability to handle confidential information with integrity are essential.

Ideally, you'll also have:

  • Experience supporting payroll administration.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and HR systems.
  • An understanding of UK employment legislation and HR best practice.
  • A positive, flexible, and hands-on approach with a willingness to support the wider business where needed.

Pay: £56,000.00-£60,000.00 per year
