HVAC Engineer – £45,000 per annum + Van & Fuel Card

Location: Office based in Perivale, London
Coverage: West, North and East London
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced HVAC Engineer to join our maintenance and service team. This role involves planned and reactive works across a variety of commercial sites, with a strong focus on plantroom systems, ventilation, air conditioning and associated mechanical services.

You will be based in our Perivale office, with daily travel across West, North and East London. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, a proactive attitude and a commitment to high-quality service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) and reactive maintenance on HVAC systems
  • Perform plantroom maintenance and repairs
  • Service and maintain ventilation systems, ductwork and fire dampers
  • Maintain and repair AHUs, VRV/VRF systems, chillers, pumps and associated water/air systems
  • Conduct diagnostic fault-finding and implement repairs
  • Support commissioning tasks across various mechanical systems
  • Maintain accurate electronic and written records of works completed
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety standards
  • Liaise professionally with clients, site staff and internal teams
  • Participate in an out-of-hours call-out rota
  • Manage van stock and ensure availability of essential parts
  • Occasionally support apprentices and junior engineers

Skills & Experience Required

Essential:

  • Proven experience working as an HVAC or Mechanical Engineer
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical HVAC systems including VRV/VRF, AHUs, pumps, and ventilation
  • Experience working in plantrooms, at height, or in confined spaces
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Good computer literacy
  • Full UK driving licence

Desirable:

  • NVQ Level 2/3 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning
  • City & Guilds 2079 (F-Gas Category 1)
  • Experience with TR19, BSEN 15780 and ventilation testing/remedials
  • Knowledge of plumbing and general mechanical building services
