Experienced Dental HygienistJob Overview

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and patient-focused Dental Hygienist to join our busy, well-established practice for 3 days per week.

This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a friendly, supportive, and highly professional team in a thriving practice with a loyal patient base. Our hygiene diaries are consistently busy, and our patients value high-quality preventative care, excellent communication, and clinical expertise. We are seeking a hygienist who is confident in managing periodontal care, passionate about patient education, and committed to delivering an outstanding patient experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality dental hygiene treatment, including scaling, periodontal therapy, and preventive care.
  • Assess patients' oral health and accurately record clinical findings and treatment plans.
  • Deliver personalised oral hygiene instruction and preventive advice to support long-term oral health.
  • Diagnose and manage periodontal disease in line with current evidence-based guidelines.
  • Take dental radiographs where appropriate and maintain accurate clinical records.
  • Work closely with our dentists and clinical team to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Ensure the highest standards of cross-infection control and compliance with GDC and CQC standards.
  • Build long-term relationships with patients through excellent communication and compassionate care.

About You

  • GDC-registered Dental Hygienist.
  • Previous experience working in general dental practice.
  • Confident in delivering periodontal treatment and preventive dentistry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Friendly, professional, and organised with a patient-centred approach.
  • Able to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team.
  • Committed to maintaining high clinical standards and providing exceptional patient care.
