Diamond Driller – Newton Abbot & Surrounding Areas

Location: Newton Abbot, Devon
Job Type: Full-time (Temp-to-Perm or Permanent)
Start Date: Immediate

About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced Diamond Driller to join a specialist construction contractor working across Newton Abbot and the wider South West. This role involves carrying out high-quality diamond drilling, concrete cutting, and coring on commercial and industrial sites.

You will work as part of a skilled team delivering precise drilling and cutting services to support structural alterations, M&E installations, and refurbishment works.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diamond core drilling through concrete, blockwork, and structural elements
  • Concrete cutting using hand saws, floor saws, and wall saws (where required)
  • Interpreting drawings and setting out drilling locations accurately
  • Ensuring all works are completed safely and to a high standard
  • Maintaining equipment and reporting defects
  • Working closely with site managers and engineers to meet project timelines

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Diamond Driller / Core Driller / Cutting Operative
  • Valid CSCS card
  • Full UK driving licence (company van may be provided for experienced operatives)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong understanding of site health & safety
  • NVQ Level 2 in Drilling & Sawing (preferred but NOT essential)
