Mechanical Project Engineer

Employment type: Permanent, full-time

Location: Glossop (Office based)

Hours: Monday to Thursday 8.30am-5pm, Friday 8.30am-4.30pm

Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 per annum depending on experience + 26 days holiday (+ Bank Holidays) + Bonus + PMI + Life Insurance + Pension

We are working exclusively with our client, a long-established leader in designing and manufacturing advanced equipment for material processing and product finishing across various industrial sectors.

We are looking for a Mechanical Project Engineer to lead projects from concept to commissioning-turning client requirements into fully installed, operational solutions. If you thrive on seeing a project through every stage, from initial sales support to installation and aftercare, we want to hear from you!

Example of Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the sales team and clients to understand customer needs and develop tailored design solutions.
  • Lead the design process using SolidWorks software, ensuring technical accuracy and innovation
  • Manage project timelines and resources from design through manufacturing, installation, and commissioning
  • Coordinate with internal teams, suppliers, and clients to ensure seamless project delivery
  • Provide technical support during and after project completion

Essential Skills/Background:

  • SolidWorks experience is preferred
  • Previous experience in a Design Engineer related role is essential
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Flexible to travel to client sites when required
  • UK Driving licence
  • Must be eligible to work in the UK.
