Job Purpose
The Head of Risk Communications is a critical strategic leadership role responsible for safeguarding CNH Industrial’s corporate reputation and brand portfolio in an increasingly complex and dynamic digital media environment. This position serves as CNH’s chief defense strategist, providing comprehensive protection against online threats, misinformation, disinformation, and reputational risks that could impact business operations, stakeholder confidence, and brand equity.
More than a traditional risk management role, this position functions as the strategic guardian that “clears the lane” for CNH’s Brand Marketing, Brand Communications, Corporate Communications, CNH Studios, and Digital Strategy teams to confidently execute offensive storytelling and engagement strategies. By proactively identifying, monitoring, and neutralizing threats, this role enables the broader communications organization to focus on growth-driving initiatives while maintaining enterprise-wide reputational security.
Reporting directly to the Chief Communications Officer, this role provides strategic risk leadership for a specialized team of 4-5 global risk communications experts and requires exceptional expertise in threat detection, crisis prevention, digital monitoring, and sophisticated risk mitigation in complex global industrial environments.

Experience Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Risk Management, or related field; Master’s degree preferred
- Minimum 12-15 years of progressive experience in risk communications, crisis management, or reputation protection
- At least 7 years in senior leadership roles managing global risk communications teams
- Proven experience in B2B industrial, manufacturing, or highly regulated industries with complex stakeholder environments Demonstrated success managing high-stakes reputation crises and implementing proactive risk prevention strategies
Core Risk Competencies
- Threat Detection Expertise: Advanced knowledge of digital threat detection, monitoring technologies, and predictive risk analytics
- Crisis Management Excellence: Proven track record managing complex, multi-stakeholder crisis situations with measurable reputation protection outcomes
- Misinformation Combat: Sophisticated understanding of misinformation and disinformation tactics with experience developing effective counter-strategies
- Digital Risk Management: Deep expertise in online reputation management, social media risk, and digital platform security
- Stakeholder Risk Analysis: Ability to assess and mitigate risks across diverse stakeholder groups including customers, regulators, activists, and competitors

The annual salary for this role is USD $148,500.00 - $198,000.00 plus any applicable bonus (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)
