This team is committed to delivering the highest standards in Box systems design and support. Additionally, you will work closely with the Box lead Architect, and the Product Owner, as well as with Workforce Productivity Applications leadership, to ensure alignment and excellence in all Box-related initiatives.

Your Impact

As an administrator for Cisco’s enterprise Box platform, you will play a critical role in enabling seamless content collaboration and secure information management across the organization. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead the administration, governance, and optimization of Box, a key productivity tool integrated with Microsoft 365, Okta/SSO, and other enterprise applications. You will drive initiatives that enhance user experience, carry out compliance, and automate workflows, directly supporting Cisco’s digital work-place transformation and employee productivity.

  • Serve as the administrator for Cisco’s enterprise Box platform, leading user provisioning, access controls, and integrations with Microsoft 365, Okta/SSO, and other applications.
  • Configure and implement security policies, retention rules, and compliance settings while collaborating with InfoSec and Legal teams to ensure governance and data protection.
  • Develop and implement automation workflows and API solutions to optimize content processes, and stay updated on Box feature releases, incorporating AI-driven tools and innovations promoted by Cisco IT AI-First principles.
  • Provide Tier 3 support for complex Box issues while driving effort to reduce employee friction through enhanced self-service and automation, deliver training and documentation to improve user adoption, and support large-scale content migrations.
Minimum Qualifications

  • 3 to 5+ years of IT administration experience in Box platform.
  • Practical experience with Box Admin Console, user provisioning, content management, and integrations.
  • Proficiency in scripting or using APIs for automation and integration (e.g., Box CLI, PowerShell, Okta workflows).
  • Solid grasp of document lifecycle management and metadata tagging strategies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of handling complex issues.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Practical exposure and administering enterprise Box environments, including user provisioning, permissions management, and security compliance.
  • Solid technical proficiency with Box Drive, Box Notes, Box co-authoring features, Box Hubs, Box AI, Box Shield, and integrations with Microsoft 365 for seamless collaboration.
  • Direct knowledge of Box security controls such as classification labeling, Restricted Content handling, Advanced Threat Detection, and data governance frameworks.
  • Experience automating administrative tasks using scripts or CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions) to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual errors.
  • Demonstrated good communication and collaboration skills, proficient in Agile methodologies to drive iterative development and continuous improvement, with a proactive approach to learning emerging technologies like AI-driven productivity enhancements and workflow automation in the Box ecosystem.
