Full job description

The Job:
This role will work in both project delivery and third-line support capacity for multiple Next2IT clients. The role includes designing, configuring, deploying, monitoring, diagnosing, and troubleshooting both on-premises and cloud-based customer networks, servers, and security.
There will be a requirement to work as required from client sites to undertake activities that cannot be performed remotely.
Reporting to: Managing Director
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Provide consultancy around data security, networking, databases, virtualisation, hosting, and other areas of infrastructure.
· Provide leadership for multiple client projects across Next2IT's product portfolio ensuring timely updates and delivery of committed tasks.
· Deploy and manage hosted platforms to deliver Next2IT's customer solutions
· Be accountable for Next2IT's internal IT infrastructure
· Act as a 3rd line escalation for Next2IT's Service Desk, including incident management and liaison with clients.
· Ensure proactive monitoring and support of the IT infrastructure, including effective, regular, and well-planned maintenance to minimise downtime and impact to clients.
· Ensure that all system changes follow company change management processes.
· Produce IT infrastructure policy documentation, implementation, and governance.
· Undertake activities on client sites as required.
DESIRED SKILLS:
· Experience in Cloud (AWS or Azure) Linux, Windows, VMWare, Hyper- V, Networking, and Storage.
· Experience in virtualisation / cloud and scalability of infrastructures such as server clustering and load balancing.
· Experience of networking including:
· Previous experience dealing with multiple clients and products.
· Proven ability to troubleshoot network and server issues such as performance and scalability.
· Excellent standard of written and spoken English.
· Excellent communication skills.
· Experience working with clients at a senior level.
· A full UK driving license.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £30,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
