Salary Band: Band E (£24,399 - £42,826)

Our Firsteel business within our Colors division is currently looking to recruit a Laboratory Team Member. The Colors division applies organic coatings to metals as a raw product for 2nd tier manufacturing businesses. Specifically with the Firstell business, we supply to main markets including non-stick coatings on to metal for bakeware industry and apply adhesives to metal for the automotive industry. We also offer bespoke cutting services in order to meet our customer’s specific needs.

As a Laboratory Team Member, you will play an essential part of the Technical team. To be effective within this role, we’re looking for someone who comes with process line experience or has practical experience of working with coatings.

We’re looking for an individual who has a good knowledge of Continuous Improvement tools and techniques is required, along with experience in Further Processing (eg slitting / blanking / levelling). Within the role, you will be prepared to travel and must possess a full driving licence. Professional integrity combined with technical competence to maintain customer and supplier confidence is essential and the jobholder will have the desired communication skills to be able to discuss complex quality issues with both Tata Management and external customers.
