Job Title: QA Team Leader
Location & Post Code: Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire (DN15)
Salary: £20,000 - £28,000 per Annum

Our client, the UK's leading independent producer of flexible polythene and polypropylene substrates and packaging, is seeking an experienced QA Team Leader to drive QA improvements up from a shop floor level in to the process whilst overseeing and improving the laboratory functions - along with the everyday duties of the department.

Main Duties will Include:
  • Writing of QA procedures.
  • Helping in lab to assist when required to test, process data sheets etc.
  • Morning market - make decisions on QC held materials.
  • Audit of customer correspondence.
  • Process test requests.
  • Management of the lab.
  • Monitor and turnaround QC held stock.
  • Making decisions on material.
  • Monitoring of QC held stock.
  • Concession - process paperwork deciding on commercial viability of stock.
  • Complete Non Conformance Report and complaint updates.
  • Compile dashboard figures.
  • Compile right first time figures.
  • Produce Product Data Sheets.
  • Produce Packaging specifications.
  • Liaise with production for Healthguard (pest control) visits.
  • SSQR figures - compile any complaints into a report format.
  • Conduct weekly and monthly Hygiene (BRC) audit.
  • Issuing X-codes.
  • Monitoring of the top issues within the company and issuing this information to the relevant people.
  • Ensure that all paperwork is done correctly and efficiently in accordance with ISO 9001.
  • Ensure that all procedures are followed in accordance with ISO 9001.
  • Ensure that all faults or problems with any aspect of the workplace are reported immediately.
  • Ensure that your Department is kept clean, tidy and free from danger.
  • Ensure all health and safety procedures are adhered to.
  • Ensure that correct protective clothing and equipment is worn at all times, if applicable.
  • Attend meetings and specific courses and training as required.
