Overview
We are seeking an Accounting Assistant to join our team and support the financial operations of our organisation. The ideal candidate will have experience with various accounting software and a strong background in financial services.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate financial records by recording day-to-day transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.
  • Reconcile bank statements and company accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare and process payroll, including calculating hours, deductions, and other adjustments.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate payment of invoices and collection of outstanding invoices.
  • Generate financial reports and statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Assist with budgeting and financial forecasting by providing relevant data and analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations and standards.
  • Assist with the preparation of tax returns and financial audits.
  • Maintain and update financial databases and spreadsheets.
  • Provide support for financial planning and decision-making as needed.

PERSONAL SKILLS

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in English, Urdu, and Punjabi.
  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
  • Strong understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree in accounting or related field preferred.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Certified Bookkeeper or similar certification.Experience with payroll processing and tax reporting.Familiarity with financial regulations and compliance requirements.
