Overview
We are seeking an Accounting Assistant to join our team and support the financial operations of our organisation. The ideal candidate will have experience with various accounting software and a strong background in financial services.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial records by recording day-to-day transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.
- Reconcile bank statements and company accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare and process payroll, including calculating hours, deductions, and other adjustments.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate payment of invoices and collection of outstanding invoices.
- Generate financial reports and statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Assist with budgeting and financial forecasting by providing relevant data and analysis.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations and standards.
- Assist with the preparation of tax returns and financial audits.
- Maintain and update financial databases and spreadsheets.
- Provide support for financial planning and decision-making as needed.
PERSONAL SKILLS
Requirements:
- Proficiency in English, Urdu, and Punjabi.
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree in accounting or related field preferred.
- Preferred Qualifications: Certified Bookkeeper or similar certification.Experience with payroll processing and tax reporting.Familiarity with financial regulations and compliance requirements.
