Administrator – Residential Care Services
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Location: Cheadle Hulme,SK8 6RQ
Type: Full time, permanent
Salary: £23,810 per annum + benefits
We are looking for an experienced Administrator to join our dedicated team, providing support in our Residential Services!
About Seashell Trust:
Originally founded in 1823, Seashell Trust is a nationally recognised and registered charity based in Cheadle Hulme, Stockport. The Trust comprises of the Royal School Manchester, the Royal College Manchester, 17 bespoke Residential Care Homes, Outreach Health and Family Services. We provide expert Residential care and Education for children and young people with severe, profound, and complex learning difficulties and disabilities, sensory impairments, communication disorders and autism. Our fantastic services are based all on one-site, which deepens our sense of community for our children and young people and the wider Seashell team.
Role Summary
Reporting to the Lead Administrator and working as part of a small team, this role will provide an effective and efficient support service to our Children’s Service, Young Adults’ Service and our Short Breaks Care Service all based on our single site in Cheadle Hulme.
The role is varied and you will be responsible for managing day-to-day administrative duties, including some rota administration, to ensure proficient care delivery and the smooth operation of our care services. You will be also responsible for raising purchase orders, administering and maintaining various spreadsheets. Other duties includes handling and reconciling petty cash to uphold financial operations and standards. You will plan meetings, produce and distribute professional minutes for effective communication. As a Care Administrator, every day is different and so the ideal candidate will have excellent multitasking skills.
Requirements
· Previous office-based administration experience
· GCSE Grade A-C/grade 4 or above or relevant Level 2 qualification in literacy and numeracy
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Excellent IT skills – Microsoft Office packages including Outlook, Excel, Word and Management Information Systems
· Excellent multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks
· Ability to plan meetings and produce and distribute professional minutes
· Confidential approach to work
· Experience of maintaining administrative systems including experience of keeping manual and computerised records and inputting information into databases
· Experience of handling cash and completing petty cash reconciliations preferred
