Apprentice Quantity Surveyor

Kick-start your career with Lexden Contracts by joining our Commercial Team as an Apprentice. As an Essex-based construction company delivering projects across the UK, we offer a hands-on opportunity to learn and develop within a supportive, fast-paced environment.

This role sits within our Commercial team, where you’ll gain valuable experience in Quantity Surveying while also benefiting from exposure to our wider business. You’ll work closely with our Pre-Construction team on bids and estimating and develop an understanding of how our Purchasing and Accounts teams contribute to successful project delivery. This well-rounded experience will give you a strong foundation for a career in construction.

Apprenticeship Pathways

We offer two apprenticeship routes depending on your experience and qualifications:

Option 1 – Level 4 Construction Quantity Surveying

  • Duration: 2 years + up to 6 months End Point Assessment (EPA)

Option 2 – Level 6 Construction Quantity Surveyor

  • Duration: 3 years 6 months

  • Motivation to learn and develop professionally
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach
  • Full UK driving licence

· Team player with the ability to build strong working relationships at all levels

· Flexible and adaptable approach (travel to sites will be required)

Qualifications & Attributes

Minimum of 3 A-levels (or equivalent) plus 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 9–4 (A*–C), including Maths, English, and Science.

Strong work ethic with a commitment to both academic and on-the-job development.

Pay: £16,000.00-£22,500.00 per year
