Assistant Greenkeeper

Fereneze Golf Club, Barrhead is private members club situated on top of the Glennifer Braes with some stunning views over the Glasgow and Clyde Valley area.

The club is looking to recruit a full-time assistant greenkeeper to join our hard working and motivated team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a club that is expanding, with a vision to continually improve course conditions and we are looking for someone with drive and commitment to share in driving the club forward.

We are looking to recruit someone with the following skills and attributes.

Qualifications

- Minimum 3 years’ experience working within a golf course or other sports ground maintenance position.

- SVQ level 2 - 3 greenkeeping/sports maintenance certificate

- SVQF level 5

- PA1 and PA6 spraying certificates

- Chainsaw certificates – desirable but not essential

- Full UK driving licence

- Ability to work on their own without supervision and to work as part of a team

- Professional appearance, attitude and flexibility to tasks requested

- Flexibility to work weekend shifts

- An interest in golf would be advantageous
