Learning & Development Advisor (Associate Learning & Development Business Partner)
Type: Full time, Permanent
Location: Cheadle Hulme, SK8 6RQ
Salary: £26,000 - £28,000 per annum + benefits

Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Hybrid working)

Originally founded in 1823, Seashell Trust is a nationally recognised and registered charity based in Cheadle Hulme, Stockport. The trust consists of the Royal School Manchester (RSM), Royal College Manchester (RCM), 17 residential care homes, outreach, health and family services all based on one campus site. We provide care and education for children and young people (up to 25 years old) with severe, profound, and complex learning difficulties and disabilities, sensory impairment, communication disorders and autism.

We’re looking for a proactive and innovative  Associate Learning & Development Business Partner (Advisor) to join our Learning & Development team. The successful candidate will work alongside our Learning & Development Business Partner to support in the design and delivery of programmes that are aligned with Seashell’s strategic and operational priorities. In this role you’ll partner closely with managers and leaders to understand L&D needs, then plan, design and deliver L&D solutions for colleagues.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Create an annual training programme that ensures compliance and skills development
  • Own L&D data sets and use these to inform conversations with the business, and with the wider team to schedule training in a way which is data-driven
  • Consider relevance of blended learning options such as coaching, mentoring, on-the-job training, classroom training, e-learning and simulation. Make recommendations based on which L&D solution would optimise learning transfer
  • Work closely with Subject Matter Experts to co-design L&D solutions that best meet learning outcomes and optimise the learning process
  • Identify and design new and different interventions, approaches and channels to enable effective learning and development across the business
  • Shared responsibility for Quality and Assurance, Data and Professional Qualifications and Accreditations, Core Skills, Health and Safety and induction

What we’re looking for:

  • A creative and dynamic professional with hands on experience of training and facilitating
  • Knowledge and understanding of internal and external training requirements and frameworks
  • Experience of providing training using a variety of techniques for example, face to face, online, classroom and role-playing
  • Experience in the design, delivery and management of learning solutions.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Level 5 Diploma in Operational Management (or working towards)
  • CIPD Level 3 Certificate in Learning and Development
