Baby Room Leader – Little Ducklings Day Nursery, Woodley
Are you passionate about providing outstanding care for babies and supporting their development in a warm, nurturing environment? Little Ducklings Day Nursery is looking for an experienced Baby Room Leader to join our dedicated team in Woodley.
About Us:
Little Ducklings is a twice Ofsted Outstanding full day care nursery catering to working parents. We pride ourselves on our warm, family-focused environment and our commitment to providing the highest standard of care and education to every child in our setting.
The Role:
As Baby Room Leader, you will take the lead in our baby room, providing a loving and stimulating environment for children aged 0–2 years. You will be responsible for overseeing the daily running of the room, supporting your team, and building strong relationships with families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the baby room team in delivering outstanding care and early years education
- Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS
- Maintain a safe, clean, and nurturing environment
- Build strong partnerships with parents, keeping them informed of their child’s development
- Monitor and support the development of individual children through observations and assessments
- Support and mentor junior staff members, fostering a collaborative team spirit
Requirements:
- Minimum Level 3 qualification in Childcare/Early Years
- Experience working with children aged 0–2 years, ideally in a leadership or senior practitioner role
- A genuine passion for early years development and a nurturing personality
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Sound knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, and health & safety procedures
