Position Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and friendly Bakery Manager. You will be in charge of a small team, taking a lead to help the bakery expand our customer base, build new and ongoing relationships and ensuring outstanding customer service.

Main Responsibilities

  • Welcome and assist our customers with their orders
  • Open and close the bakery when required
  • Use the tills and handle cash and card payments
  • Cashing up, recording expenditure and banking
  • Help keep the bakery, clean, tidy, and safe
  • Positive and enthusiastic telephone manner to take orders and answer telephone queries
  • Checking and replying to orders via email or through our website
  • Communicate with cafes that we supply
  • Create and send Invoices
  • Help grow the business through gaining additional b2b sales
  • Place stock orders
  • Shopping at supermarket/cash and carry for items
  • Washing aprons and tea towels
  • Work on your own initiative
  • Assist with the washing up, emptying of bins and organisation of equipment
  • Quarterly one to one’s with staff members to support and develop them in their roles
  • Good communication skills with staff members, ensuring tasks are being completed in timely manner
  • Being a team player and assisting colleagues where needed
  • Help keep our social media pages and our email supporters updated
  • Emails, rota’s, overseeing annual leave and general administration

  • Prepared to learn new skills
  • At least 2 years experience within a customer service environment
  • At least 2 years experience within a management role.

  • GCSE in Home Economics: Food Preparation and Nutrition (also known as ‘Food Tech’)
  • Any marketing qualifications
  • Experience in marketing
  • Business to business sales experience
  • Driver with access to a car
  • Sense of humour
  • Outgoing
