Bakery Operative

Full-time position (Maternity Cover)

We are seeking a new person to join our team to provide maternity cover with the hope of staying on when our team member returns to work.

This role involves working on our early morning shift assisting our bakers with the production of our cake, patisserie, tart, and traybake lines.

The right person will...
- Be available to work early mornings (Roughly 6 am - 1 pm)

- Work well under pressure and on strict timescales.

- be able to follow instructions and maintain a consistent end product quality.

- ideally, have baking experience or have previously worked in a commercial bakery environment.

-have the knowledge and experience of how to weigh, deposit, decorate, and pack products (Not essential as training can be provided).

- be able to work well as a team or equally independently if required.

- be able to manage your own time and workload effectively and efficiently.

- be flexible to work differing shift patterns to meet the ever-changing needs of the business as it grows.

Pay is skill/performance-based, on a three-month probation period, the wage will be reviewed after one month.

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract, Temp to perm
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: £11.44-£12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
