Bank Support Worker

Location: Bolton, Wigan, Salford

Salary: Variable dependent on location.

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Casual

As part of our growing Bank Force based across Bolton, Salford and Wigan we are looking to recruit Bank Support Workers who will work on a casual basis to deliver high quality, compassionate care and support to the people we support. As part of our team you will work alongside other Support Workers to help local people live better lives.

Each day can provide different opportunities which will help you to gain an in-depth working knowledge of people’s lived experience and strengths, but most importantly, you can learn through your real experiences and carve your own career within Bolton Cares.

Responsibilities:

· Support with Personal Care, whilst maintaining people’s privacy and dignity.

· Support with Medication Administration where required.

· Helping people to live more independently and undertake life enhancing activities.

· Be confident interacting with people from all walks of life.

· Support people to manage in their own homes.

· Support with the planning and delivery of activities.

· Ensure people’s needs are at the heart of everything we do.

· Work with managers and support colleagues to implement person centred support plans.

Experience and skills required:

· A strong team player.

· Understand that communication is varied and comes in many forms.

· Have a positive outlook and a flexible approach.

· Have a passion for supporting people.

· Demonstrate a high standard of personal and professional behaviour.

· Are able to communicate confidently with others.

· Be able to develop supportive relationships, promoting choice and independence.

· You will be highly motivated to deliver outstanding care and support.

· Are able to use or, learn to use relevant IT systems.

· Have access to a Smart Phone.
