Bar Team Member

Role Summary

The Front of House Bar Team Member is responsible for delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced bar environment. This role involves serving drinks efficiently, maintaining a clean and welcoming venue, and contributing to a positive experience for every customer.

Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Service & Bar Operations

• Provide friendly, professional, and efficient service at all times

• Prepare and serve drinks to company standards

• Engage positively with customers and create a welcoming atmosphere

• Keep the bar, floor, and customer areas clean, tidy, and well-stocked

• Assist with setting up and closing down the venue

Cash Handling & Stock

• Operate tills accurately and responsibly

• Handle cash and card payments in line with company procedures

• Assist with stock replenishment, rotation, and deliveries

• Report any stock issues, breakages, or shortages to management

Compliance & Standards

• Follow all licensing laws and Challenge 25 procedures

• Maintain high standards of hygiene, health & safety, and COSHH

• Ensure responsible alcohol service at all times

• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and dress code

Teamwork & Communication

• Work effectively as part of a team during busy service periods

• Take direction from Team Leaders and Management

• Support colleagues to ensure smooth service

• Communicate any issues or customer concerns promptly

Skills & Experience Required

• Previous bar or hospitality experience preferred, but not essential

• Strong customer service skills

• Ability to work well under pressure in a busy environment

• Basic knowledge of drinks service (training provided where needed)
