A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Business Development Consultant to join a privately owned leasing and fleet management company in Basildon, Essex. We are looking for a driven and passionate individual to join our sales team. You'll need to be ambitious and a proven new business hunter with B2B sales experience. Vehicle leasing experience is preferable but not essential as we will offer a full training program, a generous commission structure along with exceptional opportunities for progression for the right candidate. You will be working full-time on a permanent basis (Monday- Friday 9am-Spm) and will be met with a competitive salary and 22 days holiday plus bank holidays. Salary: Up to £35k basic salary depending on experience+ Uncapped commission+ Company Car+ Benefits with a realistic OTE of £40-45k in year 1, £50k + in year 2. Commission payable from the 1st month!!
About the Role:
An opportunity to join our established sales team in Basildon, Essex. Candidates wiII only be considered with previous sales and business development experience. You can expect ongoing support and development in your role and for the successful individual the opportunity to earn a generous commission package. Day to day duties will include:
- Actively and tenaciously seek out new business opportunities via sales, cold calling, networking events and identifying opportunities.
- Prospecting - Cold calling by phone, face to face, email, and other sales channels with a view to creating sales appointments and closing opportunities.
- Visiting prospects to promote vehicle contract hire solutions.
- Preparing sales proposals and presenting to prospects.
- Generate sales quotations and follow up all opportunities in a quick and professional manner. Maintain a full record of activity via CRM system.
- Work closely with teams across various departments, i.e., Administration and Marketing to understand the day to day running of our business as well our sales processes.
- In addition to the duties and responsibilities, the job holder is required to perform other duties as reasonably assigned by the manager from time to time.
About the Candidate:
- Sales background and business development (preferably B2B sales) is essential. Automotive experience would also assist the successful candidate.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills are key-written and verbal.
- Ability to engage with customers face to face and via the telephone.
- Strong time management and day to day organisational skills.
- A passion and a track record for constantly delivering results.
- Tenacious and competitive.
- The ability to form long term business relationships.
- Well-developed business acumen and understanding of sales processes.
- Professional and well presented.
