About us

Workforce Skills Support is a successful, growing construction training provider based in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire. Our company is in a position of growth within the sales department, and we are now looking at increasing our sales team in line with this expansion. The right candidate will be working with our Senior Acccount Manager, alongside our Business Development Team.

Salary bracket is based on previous experience

We are looking for an Experienced Business Development Manager to join our team. Construction is a specialist sector, and knowledge of this would be advantageous but optional as we can offer a development plan to build on the knowledge required for the job role that is sector specific.

We are seeking a positive, motivational, and experienced Business Development Manager with transferrable skills if there is no direct experience in construction training.

The primary role will be sales and marketing Business to Business with responsibility to sell the Workforce Skills Supports portfolio of training, qualifications and related services.

To plan sales activities, lead the end to end sales interaction with new clients. Retaining and growing a number of existing clients, and generating new business by contacting prospective clients, qualifying opportunities and bringing the sales process to a mutually beneficial close.

Reporting to the Senior Account Manager

Qualifications:

- Driving license would be preferable but not essential
- Proven experience in business development or sales role
- Strong knowledge of customer relationship management (CRM) software
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong project management skills
- Ability to analyze data and make strategic decisions based on findings
- Self-motivated with a results-driven approach
