Cafe Assistant

£13.00 per hour
Wednesday to Sunday
One full weekend off every month

We're looking for a hardworking, friendly team member to join our busy kitchen and front of house team at The Booking Hall Cafe.

This is a fast-paced role where you'll be preparing sandwiches and light food to a consistently high standard while maintaining excellent food hygiene and presentation. Speed, organisation and attention to detail are essential, especially during busy service periods.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing sandwiches, breakfast items and café food quickly and consistently
• Maintaining excellent food hygiene and cleanliness standards at all times
• Serving customers with a warm, friendly and professional attitude
• Learning to operate our coffee machine and prepare quality hot drinks
• Following daily cleaning schedules and company procedures
• Restocking displays and keeping work areas clean, organised and well presented
• Working as part of a close-knit team to deliver outstanding customer service

What We're Looking For

• A positive, friendly and approachable personality
• Excellent customer service skills and a genuine enjoyment of working with people
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment where speed and quality are equally important
• Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards
• Reliable, punctual and able to work well within a team
• Previous café, hospitality, kitchen or sandwich preparation experience is desirable but not essential
