Chef de Partie
We are now looking for hungry for learning, passionate and dedicated Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team at our flagship restaurant in London!

Meraki is one of London’s finest Greek restaurants, nested in the heart of Fitzrovia, it is a discreet sanctuary for those with a passion for Greek food, music and lively atmosphere.
Since its opening in July 2017, we have been focused on creating exquisite dining experiences and serving award-wining food to many London’s A-List and fashionable tastemakers.

About you:
As a Chef de Partie you will be responsible for running a specific section of our kitchen. You will responsible for organizing that section and making sure the meals prepared are delivered on time and within the required standard set by our Executive Chef. You will also be responsible for keeping your section clean and organized. We are looking for a highly motivated and dedicated individual with a passion for good food and people. The successful candidate will have previous experience in a high-quality restaurant, be enthusiastic, able to work well within a large team and in a busy environment. Informed by the authenticity of our brand and the passion we feel for our guests representing the warmth of the Greek islands and its hospitality. We serve fresh food on a daily and work hard to deliver a memorable experience to our guests.
You will be joining an equally passionate and talented team dedicated to curating original guest experiences in an authentic, attentive and courteous manner. Meraki describes something done with soul, creativity and love, values that we are seeking in a new team member to take our guests on an immersive journey to the Greek islands through exceptional food and unique sense of hospitality.
Responsibilities:
As a Chef de Partie your responsibilities will focus on:
- Maintaining the highest standards of service, adhere to the company philosophy, and understand the essence of hospitality.
- Opening and closes the kitchen following all Meraki standards and following safety sanitation and security procedures.
- Understanding and complying consistently with Meraki’s standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies, and procedures.
- Expediting food preparation by checking lead times and monitoring ticket times to ensure that food is prepared and served timely.
- Making prep recipes and menu products to Meraki’s specifications adhering to Meraki’s preparation time guidelines.
- Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, line, prep rooms, dish room and storage areas.
- Ensuring ingredients quality by double checking deliveries to ensure ingredients are fresh and follow Meraki’s product specifications and are stored properly.
- Working closely with chef analysing customers’ demands, suggesting new dishes and seasonal ingredients.
- The ability to strictly follow the occupational safety and health administration guidelines for food safety, hygiene practices, and sanitation procedures
- Training and managing any chefs working under you
- Assisting the sous-chef and head chef and ensuring the smooth running of the kitchen
- Helping to maintain a climate of smooth and friendly cooperation within the kitchen
Requirements:
We are seeking for an individual who has worked in a similar role. Other skills that will need to be demonstrated include:
- Proven experience in a similar role
- Excellent use of various cooking methods, ingredients, and kitchen equipment
- Presentation of a professional image to employees, guests, clients, owners and investors.
- Composure under pressure, confident, calm, logical, responsible
- Possession of a take-charge attitude tempered with diplomacy and a pleasant demeanour
- Energetic for the fast-paced restaurant environment and to perform duties as required
- Flexible schedule for nights, weekends, holidays, and/or split shifts as necessary
- Cooperative and empathic attitude towards all colleagues
- Leadership skills

In line with the requirements of the Asylum and Immigration Act 1996, all applicants must either be eligible to live and work in the UK or must obtain permits to work in the UK prior to application. Pay: From £14.00 per hour
