Role Description

This is a full-time Sales Account Manager role. The Sales Account Manager will be responsible for managing customer accounts in Hertfordshire, ensuring customer satisfaction, generating leads, and providing excellent customer service. The role includes maintaining regular communication with our customers, understanding their needs, and offering solutions.

The Ideal Candidate

We’re looking for a passionate food professional ready to take the next step in their career — ideally a chef or kitchen professional seeking a fresh challenge outside the kitchen. The perfect candidate will combine a genuine love of food with a deep understanding of how chefs think, plan, and buy.

You’ll bring hands-on experience from the hospitality or catering world and a real appreciation for quality fresh produce. That background will allow you to connect naturally with our customers — chefs, restaurant owners, and catering teams — and understand their needs from the inside out.

Driven, organised, and commercially minded, you’ll enjoy building relationships, identifying new opportunities, and helping kitchens across Hertfordshire and Cambridgeshire discover the best in seasonal and local produce. A self-starter who thrives on conversation and collaboration, you’ll take pride in representing a brand that chefs trust.

Qualifications

  • Experience in the fresh produce, hospitality and foodservice sectors
  • Account Management and Customer Service skills
  • Experience in lead generation and sales
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented

Location

Our office is located in Papworth Everard, a 20 minute drive from Cambridge.
