Job Summary

BMW Car Club GB – a well-established, national car club – is looking for a Club Coordinator to join our dynamic team at our new office located at Great Northern Classics in Derby.

This role is ideal for a self-motivated individual who enjoys working independently, pays close attention to detail, and communicates effectively with the public. It offers a unique opportunity to become part of the UK’s leading BMW enthusiast community and support the growth and smooth running of a vibrant club.

Key Responsibilities

* Serve as a key member of the office team

* Provide guidance and assistance to club officials

* Respond to member enquiries via phone and email

* Process new memberships and renewals

* Manage merchandise purchasing, sales, and stock levels

* Handle event ticketing and member registrations

* Assist with issuing, tracking, and processing invoices and expense claims

* Assist with the preparation and breakdown of the club trailer for events (including packing/unpacking before and after events)

* Work closely with the National Committee to support the smooth running of the club and integration of initiatives for the benefit of members

* Attend selected events and shows across the UK to help set up and dismantle the club’s trade stand (this involves a physical component and is an essential part of the role)

* Represent the club at events, engaging with members and the public, answering questions, and promoting merchandise and memberships

* Attend twice-yearly in-person National Committee meetings and an annual general meeting once a year

Skills and Requirements

* Strong customer service and communication skills

* Familiarity with modern IT and communications systems; ability to quickly learn new platforms independently

* Good organisational skills; ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively

* Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a small team

* Full UK driving licence (essential)

* Interest in or understanding of car enthusiast communities; being a BMW or MINI enthusiast is a strong advantage

Qualifications and Experience

* Minimum 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths

* Office-based or administrative qualifications are an advantage

* Basic health and safety knowledge is preferable

Job Details

* Job Type: Part-time (approx. 18.75-22.5 hours)

* Contract: Initial 6-month contract with potential to become permanent based on performance

* Work Schedule: Flexible within office hours (Monday to Friday)

* Some weekend availability required - up to ten days a year supporting club events around the country, twice-yearly National Committee meetings and annual general meeting

* Location: Office based in Derby with some weekend working at car shows across the country. Some flexible (home) working can be negotiated based on needs of the club
