Construction Plant Fitter

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Mobile Plant Fitter to join our family run business. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and be adept in fault finding and rectifying. This role involves servicing machines, fault finding and carrying out repairs for a large range of machines (see below). Mainly based on site, with occasional workshop working.

Responsibilities
- Attending various sites for customers, in and around Norfolk/ Suffolk to repair, service and maintain various types and makes of equipment.
- Report back to the office with details of work carried out.
- Carry out LOLER/ PUWER testing on equipment and reporting using sitecert.
- Diagnosing faults and rectifying whilst on site.
- Conduct quality checks on completed work to ensure adherence to specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment.

Requirements
- Proven experience as a Mobile Plant Fitter or in a similar role within the construction agricultural sector.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to use hand tools and power tools
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating good communication skills both to colleagues and customers.
- A valid LOLER/ PUWER certification would be an advantage but is not essential.

Excavators- Volvo, Kubota, Takeuchi, Hitachi, Yanmar, JCB, etc

Dumpers- Mecalac, Thwaites, Wacker Neuson, Barford, etc

Rollers- Mecalac, Hamm, Volvo, Bomag, etc

Core Working Hours:

7:45am - 4:15pm Mon to Thurs

7:45am - 3:15pm Fridays

No Weekend Work

Pay: Up to £17.00 per hour
