JOB TITLE:

Content & Mapping Specialist, Digital Services Department

Preference for location in London. Alternative location options are Dublin, Ireland or Edinburgh, Scotland. (Remote/Hybrid)

The primary objective of the Content & Mapping Specialist is to expand and enhance our dynamic product offerings by setting up product records, administering and managing product content accuracy, improving connectivity with suppliers, and ensuring a smooth flow of data to support all our sales and distribution channels. Your contribution will directly impact the range and quality of the product presented both internally to staff, and externally to all our B2B clients worldwide, supporting their access to up-to-date, reliable, and attractive product options in UK & Ireland.

The successful candidate will have impeccable attention to detail as well as an innate ability to manage their workload efficiently. They will be a key learner, eager to expand their knowledge on travel technology systems and able to quickly understand complex systems and apply that knowledge in a practical way. They will take ownership of the set-up, maintenance and optimisation of dynamic product content, ensuring that it is sufficient, accurate, of a high quality and kept up to date, as well as maintaining a clean, well-structured database to enable a smooth, frictionless online integration.

CORE DUTIES INCLUDE:

Product Set-Up i.e. Hotel/Activities/Transport

  • Manage the end-to-end process of setting up new products in our systems, ensuring all necessary information is sourced and input into the right places accurately.
  • Work closely with suppliers to gather and verify key product static information, such as child policies, surcharges, room types, amenities, policies, and extra services.
  • Ensure integrated products are configured and available for distribution through all sales and distribution platform internally and externally.

Content Management

  • Source, upload, and maintain high-quality static content (descriptions, images, features) for each product.
  • Regularly audit product information to ensure it is up-to-date and reflects any changes in services or features.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to resolve discrepancies in content or to obtain missing information.

Data Mapping and Integration

  • Oversee the mapping and linking of properties between our systems and supplier databases to ensure smooth and accurate data flow.
  • Set up API connectivity between internal systems and external supplier platforms, ensuring compatibility and reliability of data exchanges.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any data mapping or connectivity issues to minimize disruption to the supply chain.

Supplier Collaboration

  • Liaise with supplier partners to improve content quality and maintain strong working relationships for long-term collaboration.
  • Work with suppliers to ensure all contracted rates, promotions, and availability are correctly reflected in the system.

System Optimization

  • Collaborate with the ecommerce supply team to identify opportunities to improve product setup workflows and system efficiencies.
  • Proactively suggest process improvements to enhance content accuracy, reduce manual input, and improve data flow between systems.

Quality Assurance

  • Conduct regular checks on product content to ensure high levels of data accuracy, consistency, and presentation standards.
  • Ensure that all content uploaded complies with internal guidelines and provides a compelling representation of properties to clients.

Cross-Departmental Collaboration

  • Support the ecommerce supply manager and work with various teams, including product, marketing, and IT, to streamline processes and improve product display

Depending on role - Some international travel may be required and will be in compliance with the company’s Business Travel Policy.

REQUIREMENTS:

Essential:

  • Entrance level technical skill.
  • Experience working with digital platforms.
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good communication & organisational skills.
  • Good written and spoken fluency in English and an additional language.
  • Team player able to work effectively across multiple disciplines.
  • Good quality control mindset
  • Ability to troubleshoot effectively
  • Good time management and ability to work unsupervised.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office and other advanced system automation toolkits.

Desirable:

  • Bachelor's degree in travel and tourism, business, ecommerce, or related fields.
  • Programming and software development skill would be an advantage.
  • Prior experience working in a B2B travel environment or within a tour operator.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in any system/digital related field would be an advantage.
