Full job description

We are currently seeking a dynamic and organised Contracts Assistant to join our Minor Works Department based in Needham Market. As a Contracts Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting Contracts Managers to ensure the efficient running of building projects ranging in size up to £300K. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a busy and thriving office, contributing to the success of projects from the planning stage through to final completion.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Tender Stage Support:

· Provide assistance in program presentations during the tender stage.

· Support in document presentation when necessary.

2. Pre-Start Set Up:

· Ensure information received from estimating is in a suitable format for the efficient running of the job.

· Prepare information needed for on-site teams to perform works safely and efficiently.

3. Contract Works:

· Provide ongoing support to both site and office contract teams during the project.

· Ensure seamless communication and collaboration to facilitate smooth project execution.

4. Post Contract Activities:

· Assist in producing O&M manuals as required post-contract.

Qualifications and Skills:

· Proficiency in using Office 365, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Project.

· Willingness to learn and adapt to new software and technologies.

· Strong administrative skills with attention to detail.

· Excellent organisation skills with the ability to organise and manage document control in a methodical manner.

· Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with internal teams and external contacts.

Desirable:

· Building knowledge would be advantageous.

· Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential.

Requirements:

· A proactive and flexible approach to work, with the ability to multitask and prioritise.

· Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.

· A team player with a positive attitude.

· Proficient in using Microsoft Office 365, particularly Excel and Microsoft Project.

Training:

We use a CRM system, and training will be provided to enhance your skills and knowledge.
