Salary: £23,091.95 per annum

To Start: As soon as possible

Mountbatten Hospice supports people across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight who are facing death, dying and bereavement. Our staff are professional, committed and passionate, dedicated to providing outstanding care and support to the communities we serve. We are looking for an enthusiastic person who has a passion for data processing, a desire to fundraise for a worthy cause, and enjoys working as part of an committed and enthusiastic team.

About the Role

Are you passionate about charity fundraising? Do you have an eye for detail and a positive, can-do approach to your work? Our fundraising team is expanding, and we have an exciting opportunity available for you! We are looking to recruit a Database Administrator (known internally as Fundraising Database and Donor Support Assistant) to join our creative, hardworking, and all round amazing fundraising team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an organisation with the community at the heart of the work we do, where job satisfaction and care and compassion go hand in hand.

The successful Database Administrator candidate will work with the Fundraising Database & Donor Support Manager and fundraising teams across both the Isle of Wight and Hampshire hospices, to deliver an excellent experience for all donors. You will support quality control for Mountbatten's fundraising supporter data, working across teams to ensure data integrity and consistency, and support the Fundraising Administrators as and when required. The role also requires some travel between the Hampshire and Isle of Wight sites to support both fundraising teams, so you will need to spend a day or two a week at the hospice on the Isle of Wight (ferry travel will be paid for by Mountbatten).

About You

In order to be successful in the Database Administrator role, you will need to be able to build and maintain relationships within the fundraising teams across both sites, and have a personable, kind approach to your interactions. The role requires someone who has a decent understanding of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office products, but can also interact well with members of the public, addressing their complaints or concerns in a courteous manner. If you are friendly and outgoing, with a penchant for information analysis and the ability to prioritise your workload during busy times, this is the role for you!

What we can Offer You

If you are successful, you will be joining a committed and passionate team at an exciting time as we develop our services. You will also be entitled to:

· Generous Annual Leave package.

· Occupational Sick Pay Scheme.

· Pensions Schemes, including continuation of contributions to your NHS Pension scheme (if applicable, subject to eligibility).

· Cycle to Work Scheme (subject to eligibility).

· Local Benefit Scheme including discounts with ferry operators

· Free Life Assurance Scheme.

· Free On-site Parking.

· Development and Training opportunities.

· Occupational Health Services.

· The chance to work with an amazing team and to be a part of incredibly rewarding organization.

The post is subject to a Standard DBS check, the cost of which is covered by Mountbatten.
