Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Assistant / Van Driver to join our Newry team.
The role consists of warehouse duties, assisting with deliveries and local van deliveries for a well-established business delivering to customers across Northern Ireland.
Duties by Day
- Monday: warehouse & stock control.
- Tuesday: Picking orders & truck assistant.
- Wednesday: Picking orders & truck assistant / van deliveries.
- Thursday: Picking orders & local van deliveries.
- Friday: Picking orders & local van deliveries.
Duties:
- Work as part of a small team to ensure all deliveries go out correctly and on time.
- Load and unload items, ensuring safe handling and compliance with weight limits.
- Operate delivery van safely to transport goods to designated locations.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
- Assist in the warehouse as needed, including stock management and organisation of goods.
Experience
- Previous experience as a van delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred.
- Forklift licence is preferred but not essential.
- Experience working in a warehouse environment is advantageous.
Essential:
- Full & clean drivers licence.
- Courteous & professional manner
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £10.00-£12.21 per hour
Expected hours: 38 – 42 per week
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
Work Location: In person
