Our Horsham Farm School Nursery is based on a working farm with animals - such as chickens, quails, rabbits, guinea pigs - that children interact with and help to care for daily. We are in search of a room based Deputy Manager to join theteam at our beautiful nursery, within our room for 2 - 3 year olds.

You will work closely with the Nursery Manager and Operations Manager to ensure all elements of the nursery are running smoothly, and children, parent’s and staff’s needs are met at all times.

What type of person do we look for? Someone with…

  • Level 3 (or above) Childcare qualification
  • Previous Managerial / Deputy Manager experience
  • An inspirational leader with high impact, professionalism and credibility
  • Critical and creative thinker who welcomes a challenge and thrives on problem-solving
  • Passion for delivering high standards of customer service and striving to constantly push the excellence boundaries
  • Able to communicate effectively at all levels (parents, children, colleagues and senior management)
  • Great passion for child development and a good working knowledge of the EYFS 0-5 years
  • Experience of working with and supporting SEN children highly desirable
  • Excellent communication skills and able to work effectively in a team
  • A determined, persistent, and resilient person, who approaches and overcomes challenges with a positive attitude.
  • Self-motivated
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Naturally proactive
  • A sense of humour, common sense, and a ‘can do’ attitude

  • Our nurseries operate 51 weeks per year, from 7.30 am - 6 pm. We do not offer school hours or term-time only positions.
