Your role as a Room Team Leader

As a Room Team Leader, you will play a key role in shaping children’s early experiences while supporting and guiding your room team.

You will make a difference by:

• Leading your room to deliver high-quality care and education in line with the EYFS
• Supporting, mentoring, and motivating staff within your room
• Creating a warm, stimulating, and well-organised learning environment
• Ensuring all children’s needs are met, with strong SEND and inclusive practice
• Promoting safeguarding and best practice at all times
• Building positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
• Supporting the wider nursery team to maintain consistently high standards

What we’re looking for

• Level 3 qualification in Childcare minimum
• Experience leading a room or supporting staff development preferred
• Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage
• Up-to-date knowledge of childcare practice and relevant legislation
• Sound safeguarding knowledge and commitment to best practice
• Knowledge and understanding of SEND and inclusion
• Excellent communication skills with children, parents, and colleagues
• A positive attitude, strong people skills, and a sense of humour
