Job Overview
ISource Solutions Ltd are seeking an Electrical NICEIC Qualified Supervisor to oversee electrical compliance and support project delivery in rail and construction projects. This role combines NICEIC supervisory duties with engineering responsibilities, ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency across site operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Competence Verification: Verify and validate the electrical competence of installers and testers, acting as NICEIC Qualified Supervisor and Principal Duty Holder, including signing off NICEIC certifications and completing annual NICEIC assessments.
- Scoping of Works: Collaborate with designers and installers to scope electrical works, ensuring alignment with project requirements.
- Design Review: Review and validate electrical designs pre-installation, ensuring compliance with BS 7671 (18th Edition) and project specifications.
- Procurement of Materials: Order materials and consumables, ensuring timely availability for site works.
- Site Documentation: Produce, distribute, and upload site documentation, including project handover materials, using systems like IMS for compliance with RISQS and ISO standards.
- Planning and Organisation: Plan and organise works, coordinating materials and labour to site, assigning tasks, and validating labour for competence and compliance.
- Day-to-Day Site Management: Oversee site operations, including:
- Liaising with site teams to resolve installation challenges.
- Reviewing and finalising site reports, ensuring accuracy.
- Updating clients on project progress through regular communication.
- Attending and hosting client meetings as required.
- Compiling and submitting project handover documentation.
- Quality and Safety Leadership:
- Implement and monitor quality controls, working with the Technical Manager to conduct audits and address findings promptly.
- Provide guidance on quality, health, and safety matters, ensuring adherence to Health and Safety at Work regulations.
- Lead by example, setting high standards for the business unit.
Qualifications and Skills
- Essential:
- C&G 2360 Part 1 & 2, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent (Electrical Installation).
- C&G 2394 & 2395 or 2391 (Testing and Inspection).
- C&G BS 7671 18th Edition (Wiring Regulations).
- ECS Gold Card (Electrotechnical Certification Scheme).
- Desirable:
- Experience with rail industry standards (e.g., RISQS, NR/L2).
- Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., IMS).
- Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership abilities; working knowledge of health and safety; attention to detail for compliance and quality.
Benefits
- Salary: £40,000 - £50,000, depending on experience (DOE).
