Full job description

We are looking to recruit a hands-on Electrical Engineer to work in an industrial environment producing food manufacturing equipment. This is a factory-based role but may require occasional travel to remote manufacturing sites.

Responsibilities

· Building Control panels to technical drawings, including cutting and fitting of wire ducting and din rail.

· Wiring Control panels to electrical schematic drawings.

· Testing Control panels to relevant documentation.

· Fault finding Control panels.

Additional knowledge/experience that would be beneficial to the candidate.

· Practical Electrical wiring experience in an industrial environment. Mechanical experience would also be beneficial.

· Can manage a dynamic workload and have a flexible approach to the role whilst maintaining excellent problem-solving abilities and an eye for details.

· Is experienced in reading and interpreting technical drawings and interpreting data in written/numerical form on electrical systems.

· Works well as an individual and effectively within a group.

Additional Details

You would be contracted to work 39 hours per week, Monday – Friday with a 10-minute break 10.00 am - 10.10 am, and ½ hour lunch break 1.00 pm - 1.30 pm.

Working Hours:

Monday 7.30 am - 1.00 pm / 1.30 pm - 4.00 pm

Tuesday 7.30 am - 1.00 pm / 1.30 pm - 4.30 pm

Wednesday/Thursday 7.30 am - 1.00 pm / 1.30 pm - 5.00 pm

Friday 7.30 am - 12 noon (unless working overtime).

Overtime is generally available and paid at 1.5 times the hourly rate Monday to Friday and Saturday mornings. It is expected that a reasonable amount of overtime be worked as requested by Supervisor or Manager.

Your rate of pay is dependent on experience.
