Engagement & Employability Support Worker (30 hours, Fixed Term)

We’re looking for a compassionate and motivated Engagement & Employability Support Worker to join our Outreach Services team at Tuntum Housing Association. This is a fixed-term role until 31st March 2026, working in partnership with Mansfield and Ashfield District Councils. You’ll support individuals from Eastern European communities and Syrian/Afghan refugee backgrounds to overcome barriers and move into or closer to employment.

What you’ll be doing:

• Building trust and rapport with participants, acting as their single point of contact.
• Supporting individuals with CVs, job searching, interview preparation, and confidence-building.
• Identifying and addressing barriers such as housing, skills gaps, or wellbeing challenges.
• Coordinating personalised support plans and regularly reviewing progress.
• Developing relationships with local employers, training providers, and external agencies.
• Signposting to relevant support services and helping participants sustain employment and accommodation.

What we’re looking for:

• Experience working with hard-to-reach communities, ideally within employability, housing, or local authority settings.
• Understanding of the local job market and employment services.
• Strong communication, organisational and digital skills.
• Emotional resilience, empathy, and a proactive, solutions-focused attitude.
• Driving licence and access to your own vehicle (essential).

Experience working with Eastern European communities or refugee groups is highly desirable, as is a background in careers advice or employment support.
