Environment and Innovation Manager

We have an amazing opportunity for the right candidate to come and join our rapidly growing business as Environment and Innovation Manager based in the North of the UK.

Our Environment and Innovation Manager will play an instrumental role in our Green Solutions strategy, supporting our contract management team with their understanding of key Green Solutions initiatives and solutions. This role will work in the North and Midlands regions working with existing and new clients to understand their ESG journey and how Nurture can support them with environmental enhancements. The role will line manage an Assistant Environment & Innovation Manager (North) and also work alongside our Environment & Innovation Manager (South), Assistant Environment & Innovation Manager (South), and our ESG and Green Solutions Support.

Main roles and responsibilities:

• Supporting the overall company ESG framework as part of the Nurture Green Solutions offering to clients
• Driving client engagement with our Green Solutions offering
• Driving colleague engagement, product development and innovation
• Alignment, best practice and planning alongside the Environment & Innovation Manager (South)
• Driving ESG/Green Solutions initiatives across the North working with the Regional Teams to develop Environmental enhancements on client sites.
• Create and tailor workshops, delivering these to local regional and contract management, pursuing a consistent message against our Green Solutions reporting
• Engagement with existing client base to demonstrate the value and environmental impact of our ESG Strategy with high level maintenance of client relationships working closely with operational teams.
• Delivery of commercial targets in line with the Green Solutions business plan
• Close alignment to Commercial function to implement ESG/Green solutions into new contracts within first 90 days of contract award
• Close alignment to our Key Account Management teams and support in all things ESG, developing strategy in partnership with our top 30 clients
• Client presentations, alone and as part of a team
• Stakeholder engagement – internally but also externally with key clients
• Reporting – Development of Green Solutions reporting, client environmental KPI reporting. Working with Key Account Managers on how best to “sell” what we’re doing for client sustainability
• Planning, presenting and supporting bids/tenders as well as award submissions and general related marketing and communications in support of the Nurture Group brand
• Producing case studies and helping to ensure we package and market what we do in the best way we can

Relevant Qualification and Training:

• Strong background in Green Solutions and ESG on a commercial level
• Effective oral and written communication skills necessary to meet the duties of the post
• Ability to present and engage with clients and colleagues at all levels
• Solid understanding of Microsoft Office 365
• The demonstrable ability to establish and sustain good working relationships, and work individually
• Ability to remain calm and motivated under pressure
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Solid writing skills to produce clear and effective documentation and reports to Leadership Team
• Ability to analyse key KPI data with understanding of reporting

This role includes frequent travel across the North of the UK.

Pay: £50,000.00 per year
