Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Escort Driver / Towable / General Yard Duties all rounder to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting towable units and escorting of abnormal loads around the UK while ensuring the highest standards of safety and customer service. This role requires strong communication skills and experience in commercial driving.

Responsibilities

Safely operate vehicles to transport towable units to designated locations.
Load and unload items, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness.
Maintain accurate delivery logs.
Communicate effectively with customers and team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
Read and follow movement orders o escort abnormal loads
Operating / Steering Hydraulic trailers
Acting as trailer banksman, steersman, and attendant
Positioning of the escort vehicle on the road to warn other road users
Assist in yard duties as needed.

Experience

Previous experience loading/unloading and securing loads.
A valid commercial driving licence is required for this position.
A tachograph card and experience with drivers hours regulations.
An appreciation of the UK road network
Strong communication skills are necessary for effective interaction with customers and team members.

The nature of the role requires flexibility and working outside of normal working hours. The role will require occasional weekend working and frequent nights out during the week.
