Experienced Wood Veneer Presser – Full Time Permanent – Brentwood, Essex

Read Veneers Ltd is a highly regarded family-run company with a history in the veneering trade spanning more than two decades.

Located in Brentwood, the company has attained FSC® certification and specialises in producing wood veneers for a wide range of commercial and domestic uses. Commercial works can be seen in establishments such as the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, the O2 London, Cambridge University and the London office of Total Gas & Power.

We are seeking an experienced veneer preparer and presser to join our Brentwood based team on a full time permanent basis. You’ll have at least one year’s experience, although more would be preferable.

You will have provable veneer pressing experience together with a keen eye for detail and excellent working knowledge of health and safety procedures.

You’ll also be able to demonstrate a positive attitude to work, a team-playing approach and good time-keeping and reliability.

Regular duties to include:

• Veneer pressing
• Veneer sanding
• Edge banding
• Setting out work
• Inspecting drawings
• Veneer repairs
