Fabrication Workshop Assistant – Full Time

We are currently seeking a motivated and reliable Fabrication Workshop Assistant to join our busy family run business.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a basic understanding of engineering who is keen to develop hands-on skills in a supportive environment. Full training will be provided on a range of fabrication machinery and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting with day-to-day workshop operations
• Supporting the fabrication team with material handling and preparation.
• Moving materials safely using overhead cranes and forklifts (training provided)
• Learning to operate machinery including plate rolls, section rolls, press brakes, plasma and laser cutting machines
• Carrying out occasional deliveries and collections using a company vehicle (subject to age and driving licence).

• Basic engineering knowledge or a strong interest in fabrication and manufacturing
• Willingness to learn and develop new skills
• Good work ethic and a proactive attitude
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Awareness of health and safety practices
• Driving licence (desirable)
• Applicants are required to have the right to work in the UK and live within a reasonable commuting distance of our premises. Due to the nature of the work no remote or hybrid working arrangements are available.
