George Martin Limited is part of the Essex based Laindon Holdings Group of companies, which has a varied commercial and residential property portfolio.

We are seeking a highly motivated and proactive individual with strong interpersonal and communication skills to operate successfully with a diverse range of stakeholder groups. As Facilities Manager, you will be managing reactive and planned works across the Group’s existing property portfolio [retail, commercial, residential, retirement, automotive].

Salary £45,000 -£47,500 plus car.

Scope:

· Ensure high quality general maintenance work as per the Group’s need.

· Implement and maintain the facilities management strategy for the company’s portfolio so that reliable, cost effective and sustainable hard and soft services are provided in accordance with the Group requirements.

  • Understand, implement and manage the services contracts [IT, telephone, CCTV and cleaning] with specific reference to end user experience whilst monitoring performance.
  • Liaise with service contract partners, their helpdesks and customer support teams to reduce service downtime. Provide on site support as required.

· Key aspects of the role include brief development, procurement and oversight of delivery and handover, whilst taking responsibility for ensuring projects are delivered to quality, time and cost expectations.

  • You will act as a first point of contact for the client and ensure the smooth running of services including engaging with sub-contractors.

· You will have a good all-round understanding of facilities management, have an excellent attention to detail and be comfortable in a client facing role.

· The successful Facilities Manager will have proven experience in leading facilities management strategies and functions.

  • Proactively develop and maintain a good understanding of industry compliance, best practice and trends, with the aim of introducing and applying this.
  • Other activities/duties as may from time to time be required.
