Fire Door Assembler – Skilled

Read Veneers Ltd is a highly regarded family-run company with a history in the veneering and woodworking trade spanning more than 25 years.

We are seeking an experienced fire door assembler to join our Brentwood-based team on a full time permanent basis.

Your regular duties will include:

· Assembling frames and fire doors

· Finishing/cutting duties (including the use of drills, grinders, etc.)

· Wrapping and labelling

· Quality checks of door sets ensuring compliance with certification requirements

· Using multiple power and hand tools

· Assembling doors using sanders and tools

· Working on manufacturing doors bench/line

· Other basic joinery and woodworking duties as required

· General manual handling

We are looking for provable experience, together with a keen eye for detail and excellent working knowledge of health and safety procedures.

You’ll be a team player, willing to pitch in to meet company targets.

You’ll also be able to demonstrate a positive attitude to work, a team-playing approach and good time-keeping and reliability.

Due to the location of our factory, it is recommended / preferred that the candidate can drive, or lives locally. Onsite parking is provided.

Hours: 7am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday

Salary: £11.50 - £17.25 p/h
