LINKS are excited to offer you a long term temporary, potential temp to perm position (min 12 weeks) with a public service client in Cardiff.
Main Duties, Roles, Responsibilities and requirement:
- The role requires the guard to provide 24/7 fire watch of the site. This will require them to complete an hourly patrol of the site, checking for any fire hazards and reporting them back to the control room as necessary. This will involve walking up and down stairs, so the candidate needs to be physically able to do this.
- The guard will be required to complete a patrol log and complete incident reports as needed.
- The guard must remain on site for the duration of their shift and would be lone working, welfare facilities will be available on site.
- The guard will need to be able to communicate effectively with the control room via phone and radio
- In the event of a fire the guard will be responsible for supervising the evacuation of the site and dealing with the fire service
- A full briefing will be in place for successful candidates as well as bespoke fire warden training, appropriate to the site.
- An employee handbook will be provided to the guard.
- Uniform will be provided.
Shifts:
Consisting of 4 on 4 off, must be able to complete both day and nights.
Day shift 08:00 - 20:30
Night shift 20:00 - 08:30
Pay rate:
Basic £11.79
Night Rate (20:00-6:00 Mon-Fri) £15.72
Weekend Rate: £17.69
Bank Holiday Rate: £23.58
