Fire & Security Engineer - Lancashire and Yorkshire
Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week with opportunities for additional hours
£30,000 to £33,000 depending on skills and experience
Permanent - Full-Time

KeyPlus Fire & Security Ltd is growing fast. Following the acquisition of Steel Security in 2024 and Guardian Security Installations in 2026, we've built a strong and expanding fire and security operation across Lancashire and Yorkshire.

The Role:
We're looking for an experienced Fire & Security Engineer to join our team reporting to Daniel Rose, General Manager.
You'll be road-based, primarily covering East Lancashire and North & West Yorkshire, carrying out a mix of:
- Installation of new fire alarm, intruder alarm, CCTV and access control systems
- Planned and reactive maintenance
- Fault-finding and diagnostics
- Accurate completion of job documentation via Uptick
- Supervising and supporting apprentices on site
- Adhering to Health & Safety requirements at all times
You'll manage your own workload, work independently and be trusted to represent KeyPlus professionally on every customer site.
What We're Looking For:
- At least 1 year's experience working with fire alarms, intruder alarms, CCTV and/or access control systems
- Confident fault-finding and problem-solving ability
- Strong customer-facing skills — friendly, professional, and reliable
- Comfortable working independently and managing your own schedule
- Clean, tidy, and professional in appearance and conduct
- Physically capable of carrying equipment, climbing ladders, and working on site
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- Willingness to be vetted to BS7858 standards
We install systems from manufacturers including Orisec and Pyronix amongst others, full product training will be provided.
