Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic, mature and experienced Front of House Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our vibrant hospitality environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising front-of-house staff, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining high standards of food safety and hospitality. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for food, team management, and delivering memorable guest experiences. Previous restaurant, hotel, or culinary experience is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate front-of-house staff, including serving, hosting, and bar personnel.
  • Oversee food presentation and ensure quality standards are maintained during service.
  • Assist with food preparation and cooking when necessary to support the team.
  • Manage reservations, organise seating arrangements, and optimise table turnover.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards across all areas of operation.
  • Lead by example in delivering outstanding customer service to enhance guest satisfaction.
  • Handle guest complaints professionally and resolve issues promptly to maintain positive relations.
  • Support training programmes for new staff members and ongoing development of team skills.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth communication between front and back of house.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming environment at all times.

Qualifications

  • Proven supervising experience within a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality setting.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
  • Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards.
  • Experience in serving or hospitality roles demonstrating excellent customer service skills.
  • Familiarity with food production processes and kitchen operations is advantageous.
  • Previous experience in culinary roles such as barista or in food handling is beneficial but not essential.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently under pressure.
  • A proactive attitude with strong communication skills and a professional demeanour.
