Job Title: Front of House Team Member

We are looking for someone with experience, who is looking for part-to-full time work on a long-term basis.

The ideal candidate should possess a valid driver's license and reliable access to a mode of transport to and from work, be 18 years or older, and have prior experience in the hospitality sector. We are looking for someone who is a quick learner, can step straight into the role, able to follow instructions diligently, and capable of using initiative and common sense.

Responsibilities:

1. Front of House Duties:

- Waitressing and serving customers with a friendly demeanour.

- Bartending, including preparing cocktails and serving beverages.

- Handling coffee orders and ensuring excellent customer service.

2. Hygiene and Cleaning:

- Ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

- Regular cleaning tasks to maintain a tidy and organised work environment.

3. Flexibility and Initiative:

- Adapting to a variety of tasks.

- Using initiative and common sense to handle unexpected situations.

4. Remuneration and benefits:

- Wage is dependent on age and experience but is always above the National Living Wage in accordance with age.

- Hard work, initiative and keenness to take on additional responsibility, is always noticed by management and we are always keen to nurture and teach, and more importantly for you; compensate accordingly with pay increases and bonuses where earned and appropriate.

- Monthly tips, calculated and distributed at the beginning of each month for the previous month's shifts.

- Discounted food and drink off shift, whether you chose to eat-in after your shift or take it away. Cheesecake, brownie and burgers is the staffs staple diet.

- Free, soft draught & cordial drinks on shift (and the occasional glass of wine after a busy shift - it's well earned).

- Staff parties: Every year we throw an 'End of Summer' party and a Christmas Party for all the team, including food and some drinks.

6. Qualifications/Requirements:

- Previous experience in hospitality is beneficial but not required as long as you have:

- Personable and customer focused experience in a similar field, such as retail. Or tenured experience in the performing arts and theatre, always makes for great customer service.

7. Schedule:

- Initially part-time hours but can progress to full time if wanted.

- Lunch shifts usually 12pm - 2:30pm, Evening shifts usually 6pm - 10pm

- You may be on split shifts, where you work both lunch and evening with a significant break in-between, so living nearby helps so you can go home in-between shifts.

- Must be available for Sunday lunch shifts

- Most likely shift pattern: Wednesday lunch, Friday evening, Saturday evening & Sunday lunch (shifts may not be the same each week).

Note:

This position offers an exciting opportunity for growth within the team. If you are passionate about hospitality, enjoy a dynamic work environment, and are eager to contribute to the success of White Horse Inn, we encourage you to apply.
